Assist-A-Family: The Molina Family
Alexis Molina - Age 7 - Brain Cancer
Franchesca Molina is a single mother of an 18-year-old special needs son. And now her 7-year-old daughter is dealing with a brain tumor.
Alexis Molina was diagnosed in January with medulloblastoma, the most common malignant central nervous system tumor. Her chemotherapy treatments began last month and will continue throughout the year. She also currently is hospitalized and receiving radiation treatments, and the combination of treatments has taken its toll, including painful side effects and hair loss.
Franchesca had been very worried about the balding tires on the family car. But thanks to the generosity of Howard Fleischmann, owner of Community Tire, the vehicle now has a brand new set of donated tires.
Still, a variety of financial needs remain: there are gas and insurance costs, as well as cell phone, utilities bills and groceries.
How You Can Help the Molina Family
The Molina family is doing all that they can to help Alexis through the chemotherapy and radiation treatments. At this time, the family has requested the following assistance:
- Tires for their car (generously donated by Community Tire)
- Gas for their car (gift cards or online donation)
- Groceries (gift cards or online donation)
- Utilities (i.e. electricity, water, phone)
- Other gift cards (i.e. Wal-Mart / Target)
